This set is in fair/acceptable condition. Hardcover. These antiquarian books have had a long and illustrious journey through time, and it shows. Please look at the pictures to ascertain the condition and state of this set. Read the description thoroughly for condition on individual volumes. If you have any questions, please reach out. Pebbled red cloth boards are worn along edges and corners with significant signs of shelf wear. Some volumes have significant chipping and fraying to the head/tail of the spines. Hinges holding. Binding cocked. The text block is in good shape with some foxing. Illustrations also have some foxing. Top edge gilt, some are faded. Rare and hard to find early Dickens volumes printed in Philadelphia. Collectible. 14 Volumes in all. 20lbs. Each book has a double frontispiece illustration and tissue guards and numerous illustrations throughout. -
