I designed The Fairy’s Secret to feel like an old book of poems—something you might discover on a high shelf in a quiet library, its cover softened by time and its pages filled with unspoken thoughts. The design draws inspiration from Sophie Gengembre Anderson’s A Portrait of a Fairy, paired with a deep, mossy green meant to echo antique bindings and forgotten folklore.
This hardcover journal contains 150 lined, perforated pages, chosen intentionally—so words can be written freely, then removed if they wish to become letters, keepsakes, or secrets shared. I wanted the pages to feel purposeful, not precious; meant to be used, handled, and lived with.
Every detail was created to evoke dark academia, Victorian fairy painting, and the quiet romance of old books—for poets, scholars, artists, and anyone who keeps their inner world close.
★★★ IMPORTANT NOTE ★★★
This journal features a meticulously designed facsimile of an antiquarian book binding. While the design may appear embossed, gilded, three-dimensional, or made of materials like leather, mother of pearl, or metal, it is a high-quality printed reproduction with a smooth, flat finish. This ensures that the beauty of the original binding is captured in a functional and lightweight journal.
