Watanabe Seitei Japanese Watercolor Postcards/Greeting Cards for Nature Lovers, 6 Designs, 12 Cards, Exclusively Designed by Ebon et Noir
Correspond in style! Send your love, thoughts, and greetings with these minimalistic postcards painted by famed Japanese artist Watanabe Shōtei.
Watanabe Shōtei aka Watanabe Seitei (1851 - 1918) was a Nihonga painter and one of the first to visit Europe, attending the 1878 International Exhibition in Paris and being awarded a medal. Shōtei blended Western realism with the delicate colours and washes of the Kikuchi Yōsai school, introducing a new approach to kachōga or kacho (bird-and-flower painting).
These postcards are giclee printed on slightly lighter uncoated stock (270gsm) to capture the essence of Watanabe Seitei's medium which was watercolor paper. The back is also uncoated, so they're very easy to write on. The cards are 100% USPS compatible and feature a custom matching design on the back.
These cards are great for bird and nature lovers and look great framed as well.
• Set of 12, double sided postcards (6 designs, x2 of each)
• 4" x 6" 270gsm uncoated acid free, matte cardstock
• Luxurious matte finish on both sides with absolutely no sheen
• Postcard sets are packaged in cellophane bag
• Envelopes and postage are not included
