CONDITION: This book is in fair condition. Leather. Leather boards are scuffed and worn along edges and corners. Heavy wear along hinges with chipping on the spine. Five raised bands. Endpapers and title page foxed and browned. This book is embellished with many exquisite steel engravings. Frontispiece of Hermes. There is an ink inscription on the title page. Text block is toned with some occasional foxing and stains. Binding is sturdy and hinges are holding. A wonderful reference for the year 1786. Articles range the gamut of subjects.
