CONDITION: This set is in good condition. Leather. These books are bound in half calf over hand marbled boards. The covers are worn along edges and corners with some chipping along outer hinges and some wear to the head/tail of the spine. The spine has five raised bands with hand-tooled dentelles. The spine of volume two is missing the gilt titles. Both books have an elegant ex-libris on the front pastedown and hand marbled endpapers matching the cover. Top edges gilt. Original ribbon bookmarks present. The hinges are tight and the binding is square. The text block is toned along edges but all pages are supple.
