CONDITION: These 140+ year-old-books are in good condition. Leather. This beautiful set is bound in brown calf with exquisite hand-tooled details on boards and spine. Five raised bands on spine, featuring lovely gilt dentelles with fleur-de-lis accents. The leather is chipped on some of the spines. Hand-marbled page edges with matching endpapers. There is wear to outer hinges. Each book has a steel-engraved portrait of a queen. Text block is crisp and clean. No markings. Additional damage noted below for specific books:
