Unseelie Princesses Dark Fairy Postcards, Exclusively Designed by Ebon Noir, 6 Designs, 12 Cards
Send your best wishes, thoughts, and greetings with these gorgeously illustrated postcards featuring fairy princesses and sprites from the Unseelie Court. These illustrations are exclusive to Ebon et Noir, and you won't' find these cards anywhere else.
In the folklore of many Celtic societies (especially those of the British Isles), the Unseelie Court was a name given to a host of malevolent fairies, demons, and monsters that were believed to roam the countryside at night and cause havoc - they were a band of particularly cruel trooping fairies who stood in direct opposition to the Seelie Court.
The idea of the Unseelie and Seelie Courts may have been Christian elements brought into the pagan world as the Unseelie Court translates into "unholy" or "wicked" while Seelie roughly means "kind" or "blessed" - in this way, the two fairy factions parallel in some ways the battle between angels and demons in orthodox Christian teachings.
The back of the cards are uncoated and very easy to write on. The cards are 100% USPS compatible and feature an illustration of a fantasy moth.
