Condition: This book is in fair condition. Hardcover. Original blue cloth with lovely gilt decoration. Cover boards show signs of wear with rubbbing along edges and corners. Outer hinges are cracked. Spine is heavily frayed with a portion missing along the top. Corners bumped. Binding cocked. All edges gilt, darkened on top and bottom edges. Interior hinges are in decent shape. Ex libris on inside front cover. Ink inscription dated 1867 on front endpaper. Text block is crisp and clean. This epic poem was published in 1851. This binding is scarce.
