--ABOUT THIS ITEM--
This is a novel of the West, driven largely by Ernest Thompson's experiences when he himself was associated with the life of the plainsman. The author gives the reader a vivid story of men, horses, and of the "open country" and points out that most of the characters in the story are taken from life and that some of the events, such as the horse races at Fort Ryan, are historical. This book sympathizes greatly with animals.
